Car sales in Pakistan have surged, reaching 15,442 units as customers flocked to showrooms. The rise reflects growing consumer confidence due to falling inflation and increasing interest in new hybrid models.

The country’s automobile sector continued its strong recovery in November 2025, with total car sales rising 53% compared to November 2024, when 10,163 units were sold. This trend indicates a sustained rebound in consumer demand.

Meanwhile, cumulative vehicle sales for the first five months of fiscal year 2026 have reached 75,042 units.

Pakistan’s automobile sector is witnessing a strong rebound, driven by easing inflation, stable supply chains, and the growing popularity of hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Analysts predict this upward momentum will continue into next year, signaling a bright future for the industry.

According to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), vehicle sales saw a 52 percent year-on-year increase in November 2025, with a total of 15,442 cars sold. However, PAMA noted that sales fell 11 percent compared to the previous month. Overall, car sales during the first five months of the fiscal year reached 75,000 units, marking a 48 percent annual rise.

Sales were not limited to four-wheelers. Two-wheeler and three-wheeler vehicles also saw strong growth, rising 38 percent in November to 165,753 units. Earlier, October had recorded an impressive 67 percent increase in car sales, reflecting improving consumer confidence.

Analysts attribute this growth to lower interest rates, easing inflation, a more stable macroeconomic environment, and stronger consumer sentiment, which boosted demand across all segments.

Monthly data shows fluctuations: car sales rose to 17,174 units in September, while overall vehicle sales for that month were 10,297, down from 14,050 in August. In the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, car sales totaled 42,267 units.

The two-wheeler and three-wheeler segment also experienced notable growth, with annual sales rising 21 percent. Motorcycles and rickshaws alone recorded total sales of 158,941 units in September 2025.
