Tom Holland and Zendaya have been in love for quite some time, but they have been strictly private about their relationship.
So when it comes to the question of the couple’s rare red carpet appearances, the Spider-Man star said this is because he doesn’t want to steal the limelight from his girlfriend.
“Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” he told Men’s Health.
Tom also recalled a backflipping incident in front of the Dune actress after one of his cousins asked him to do it.
“So I went outside and I was getting ready, and I was thinking, I can do this. I can totally do this. I’ve done this thousands of times,” the 28-year-old said.
“And Z was there, and she was like, ‘Are you sure you can still do this?’”, he remembered Zendaya’s words.
“I actually did land it, but I pulled every muscle in my stomach because when you do a backflip, it’s all about extending up as much as you can and then tucking,” Tom concluded. “For weeks, I could not laugh because my stomach was so sore.”
