PESHAWAR: Three suicide attackers launched a coordinated assault on the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Peshawar early this morning on Monday.
According to security officials, one attacker detonated explosives at the main gate, while the other two entered the premises and opened fire. Three FC personnel were martyred during the attack.
Security forces responded promptly, neutralizing the remaining attackers inside the compound. Authorities recovered two suicide vests and eight hand grenades from the attackers.
Officials confirmed that the assault was meticulously planned, but swift action by security forces prevented further casualties. Preliminary reports suggest the attackers were of Afghan origin.
