The latest intelligence-based operation was carried out jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and police.

ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed three more suspected militants during the ongoing Operation Shaban in Balochistan, bringing the total number of militants killed since July 5 to 129, according to security officials.

Security sources said the latest intelligence-based operation was carried out jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and police.

Troops targeted militant hideouts in remote and mountainous areas, inflicting what officials described as heavy losses on the armed group.

According to the sources, the three militants killed in the latest operation increased the number of militants killed specifically under Operation Shaaban to 91.

Officials said that, combined with other intelligence-based operations conducted since July 5, the total number of militants killed has reached 129.

Authorities said Operation Shaaban will continue until all militants are eliminated, reaffirming the security forces’ commitment to restoring peace and combating militancy across Balochistan.
