    The UAE hosted 17.6 thousand Afghan before leaving their final destinations

    ABU DHABI – The mother of the United Arab Emirates will remain a symbol of assistance and help in times of distress and an inspiration in humanitarian work, and in a step that embodies its humanitarian commitment, and its urgent response at the time of crises, hosted 17,619 Afghan who have been evacuated from Afghanistan since August 2021, before resettlement in third countries. This is in the context of cooperation with international partners to support the Afghan people in light of the exceptional circumstances that the country has gone through. The UAE is one of the largest donor countries for Afghanistan to help it due to the crisis it suffered, as it provided humanitarian and relief support during the past three years of 740 million dirhams, which included a relief air bridge by running
