Tasha K has accused rapper Cardi B of attempting to “sabotage” her bankruptcy case and career, three years after being ordered to pay $3.4 million for defaming the rapper as a drug-abusing prostitute with STIs.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Tasha K alleged that Cardi B is “financially bullying” her by exposing alleged secret offshore trust accounts in the Cook Islands, Nevis, and Georgia.
Moreover, the blogger claimed the Grammy-winning rapper is conditioning a settlement of the debt on restrictions over her freedom to speak on her blogs and social media platforms.
As per Daily Mail’s reports, Cardi B’s attorneys, in documents filed in Florida Bankruptcy Court last month, alleged that Tasha K fraudulently transferred assets to her husband, Cheickna Kebe, and his business.
Meanwhile, the rapper further claimed that despite declaring bankruptcy, Tasha K continues to live in luxury, including upgrading to a $7,000-a-month apartment. Cardi B has asked the court to dismiss Tasha K’s bankruptcy case and bar her from refiling for two years.
Previously, Tasha K reported to the court that her assets were under $60,000, including a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado and two Louis Vuitton bags, with only $95 in her bank account, as per the publication.
Despite this, she recently boasted about selling out VIP tables for her New Year’s Eve celebration attended by 400 fans.
Furthermore, Cardi B, who plans to release her sophomore album this year, continues her legal battle with Tasha K, following years of defamation lawsuits involving the YouTuber and other celebrities.
