Spain women’s national football team once again proved their superiority in European football by successfully retaining the UEFA Women’s Nations League crown with a dominant 3–0 victory over the Germany women’s national football team in the decisive second leg of the final.

The title clash unfolded in front of a charged crowd in Madrid, after the opening leg in Kaiserslautern had ended in a hard-fought 0–0 draw.

Germany had looked dangerous in the first encounter, creating several chances but failed to capitalize, a shortcoming that ultimately worked in Spain’s favor.

In the return leg, the hosts took complete control from the outset, pressing aggressively and dictating the tempo of the game.

Germany’s resistance initially held firm, thanks to a series of outstanding saves by goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger, who denied Spain on multiple occasions to keep the score line intact.

Spain’s persistence finally paid off in the 61st minute when forward Clàudia Pina broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal.

Momentum quickly swung in Spain’s favor as Vicky López struck again just seven minutes later to double the lead. Pina then delivered the final blow in the 74th minute, completing her brace and sealing an emphatic victory.

The commanding performance not only secured the Nations League title for Spain for the second consecutive time but also reaffirmed their growing dominance on the international women’s football stage.
