    Sindh police officers awarded new ranks in formal ceremony

    KARACHI: A dignified rank pinning ceremony for senior police officers of Sindh Police was held at the Central Police Office (CPO) Karachi, where a total of 17 officers were promoted to higher ranks.

    During the ceremony, six Superintendents of Police (SPs) were promoted to Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), while eleven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were elevated to the rank of SPs.

    The ceremony was organized in a simple yet graceful manner at the Muhammad Ali Shah Auditorium, CPO Karachi.

    Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar attended the event as the chief guest. The ceremony was hosted under the supervision of Inspector General of Sindh Police, Javed Alam Odho, who personally pinned ranks on the promoted officers along with the Interior Minister.

    Addressing the ceremony, Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar congratulated the promoted officers and said that the elevation was not only recognition of their professional competence and services but also a reminder of enhanced responsibilities.

    He emphasized that with new positions, officers must demonstrate greater dedication, integrity, leadership, and commitment to public service, law enforcement, and maintaining peace and order.

    He further stated that the Sindh government is taking serious steps to improve the operational capacity of the police force, introduce modern training aligned with contemporary requirements, and ensure the welfare of police officers and personnel.

    He expressed confidence that the promoted officers would fulfill their new responsibilities in an exemplary manner and further enhance the reputation of the police department.

    The officers promoted included Mahzor Ali, Ameer Saud Magsi, Sumair Noor Channa, Zubair Nazir Shaikh, Suhai Aziz, Muhammad Imran Khan, Mir Aftab Ahmed Talpur, Muhammad Aslam Rajput, Masroor Ahmed Jatoi, Hasnat Waqar, Asadullah Dayo, and others.

    The ceremony was attended by Additional IGPs of Karachi, Special Branch, CTD, Training, R&D, and other senior police officials.

    At the conclusion of the event, Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar and IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho extended their best wishes to the promoted officers, urging them to discharge their duties with honesty, diligence, and a people-friendly approach.
