Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar paid a special visit today to Ziauddin Hospital in Sukkur, where he inquired about the health of the officers and personnel injured during an encounter with dacoits in Shikarpur.

On this occasion, he announced a cash reward on his behalf for the brave and courageous officers and jawans. He added that recommendations for the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal (QPM) for these valiant heroes will soon be forwarded.

The Home Minister met with DSP City Paras Bkharani, DSP Garhi Yasin Zahoor Ahmed Soomro, and injured police personnel Munawar Brohi and Israr Mangrani, who are under treatment at the hospital. He instructed the doctors and hospital administration to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured officers and personnel.

Earlier, Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar arrived in Shikarpur, where he visited the office of the SSP Shikarpur. During the visit, a detailed review was conducted regarding the overall law and order situation in the district, particularly the ongoing police operation in the katcha areas.

DIG Larkana Nasir Aftab briefed the Home Minister on the ongoing police operation in the katcha areas, the progress made, and overall measures taken. The SSP Shikarpur also apprised him of the law and order situation and the police strategy in place.

On this occasion, the Sindh Home Minister stated that any attempt to sabotage the law and order situation is absolutely intolerable. He said that Shikarpur Police demonstrated exemplary performance by achieving a major success against the dacoits yesterday.

Issuing further directives, the Home Minister said that stringent action against crime must be ensured not only in the katcha areas but also in the settled regions. He emphasized that the writ of the state must be upheld at all costs and bringing criminals to justice should remain the top priority of the police.

Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar also met with the families of the injured personnel at the hospital and expressed complete solidarity, support, and assurance of every possible assistance. He said that police officers and personnel who show courage and bravery in the line of duty are the nation’s pride and our true heroes.

During the visit, the Sindh Home Minister also received a detailed briefing from the DIGs of Larkana and sukkur on the ongoing police operation in the katcha area. He directed that robust and result-oriented actions against criminal elements be intensified further to ensure lasting peace for the public.

The Home Minister praised the ongoing actions, strategy, and professional competence of Sindh Police in the katcha area, stating that despite extremely challenging conditions, the police have performed their duties with commendable dedication and spirit.
