Selena Gomez supported husband Benny Blanco through a very unusual weight-loss experiment.
Last week, the music producer spent five days eating nothing but pizza and even brought his daily Domino’s meal to a date night with the pop star.
Blanco, 38, set out to prove that a person can lose weight while “eating literally anything,” documenting himself eating one large thin-crust pizza each day for nearly a week.
The experiment, which he posted to TikTok, took its toll. By day three, he admitted, “I hate my life.”
Things did not improve much by the fifth day, when Blanco confessed, “I don’t even remember myself as a human being. Like, what was life before pizza?”
When the producer stepped on the scale before starting the challenge, he weighed 152.2 pounds. Five days later, the number had dropped to 147.5 pounds.
“I just lost 4.7 pounds eating pizza. Nothing matters, do whatever you want,” Blanco declared.
Gomez appeared in the video during a date night at Los Angeles’ Sunset Tower Hotel. While she enjoyed the restaurant’s food, Blanco remained committed to his experiment and ate pizza instead.
The unusual challenge is fitting for Blanco, who has long been open about his love of food. He released his cookbook, Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends, in 2024 and is now preparing to release F**k Failure on September 15.
