    Security forces killed two militants, including suicide bomber, in Bannu operation, ISPR

    An intelligence-based operation (IBO) was carried out in Bannu following reports of terrorist presence, ISPR

    Rawalpindi: Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Bannu, during the exchange of fire, two militants were killed, according to ISPR

    ISPR identified the killed militants as Waheedullah alias Mukhtiar and a suicide bomber. A suicide jacket, along with weapons and ammunition, was recovered from the site.

    According to ISPR, Waheedullah was wanted for attacks on both security forces and civilians and was the main facilitator of the Bannu suicide attack on February 21, 2026.

    ISPR stated that clearance and search operations are ongoing in the area. Under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” campaign, operations will continue until terrorism is eliminated.

    According to the military’s media affairs wing, the security forces conducted the operation on April 19 in Bannu district on the reported presence of terrorists.
