Twenty-one terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored groups, Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij, were killed in separate incidents in the Nokcha area of Chagai district and the Ziarat Cross area of Pishin district.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists from Fitna al-Hindustan tried to disrupt the movement of commuters on the N-40 Quetta-Taftan Highway by setting up an illegal checkpoint to collect extortion money.

Security forces responded immediately and, after an intense exchange of fire, killed 11 terrorists at the scene. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from them.

During the night, terrorists from Fitna al-Khawarij launched a coordinated attack in an attempt to enter the Customs House. Security forces responded and killed 10 terrorists after an intense exchange of fire. Fleeing terrorists were also engaged by security forces, causing further casualties.

The attack on the Customs House was described as an example of the link between terrorism and crime. The attack was aimed at preventing Customs officials from carrying out their legal duties and allowing criminal activities in the area to continue.

During the exchange of fire, six people, including two security officers and a Customs Department official, were killed in the line of duty.

Sanitization operations are continuing in the surrounding areas to find and eliminate any remaining terrorists and ensure the safety of local residents and vital national highways.

The ongoing counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full determination.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating foreign-sponsored and foreign-supported terrorism from the country.
