LAHORE: Legendary Pakistani singer Attaullah Esakhelvi and his son, rising star Sanwal Esakhelvi, have delighted music fans with a special New Year release, presenting a reimagined version of the iconic 1970s song “Bewafa.”

Originally one of Attaullah Esakhelvi’s signature hits, the song features poignant lyrics in Urdu and Saraiki. The refreshed version preserves the classic emotion and simplicity while incorporating modern music arrangements and contemporary visuals, creating a bridge between two generations of music lovers.

The song’s co-production and lyrics also showcase the creative contribution of Unknownish Artist, whose work played a key role in giving the track a modern touch for today’s audience.

Fans have praised the release as a beautiful fusion of two musical generations, highlighting the project for honoring Pakistan’s musical heritage while connecting with younger listeners.

Speaking about the collaboration, Sanwal Esakhelvi said:

“Singing this song with my father is an honor for me. This is not just a song, but our musical legacy. While it refreshes memories for long-time fans, it also offers the younger generation a wonderful opportunity to connect with classic Pakistani music.”
