Sabrina Carpenter has opened up about her love for The Beatles’ member, Paul McCartney.
During an interview with Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she candidly also explained her passion for the music industry.
“I was told myself I never wanted to go until I was nominated,” the Espresso singer began by telling the host, “I didn’t think it would be for all those categories, which is really special.”
For those unversed, Carpenter was nominated for the sixth time for Grammy Awards.
While explaining her reasons in the past she added “When you’re young, you sort of vibe it out. I don’t know how to describe it. When it’s happening, I probably in five years will look back on this moment be like wow, so much happened at once. It’s hard to process it in the moment.”
Moreover, she expressed gratitude to her passion because “I feel so lucky. Singing is all I’ve ever wanted to do. Writing songs is my favorite thing in the world, so the fact that I could do it and people listen is sentimental but it’s a gift so I’m very grateful.”
At the time, the songstress also reflected upon The Beatles’ song Rocky Raccoon and made a jaw-dropping admission, “I was so mesmerized by that song and the songwriting of it that I fell in love with Paul McCartney. I was convinced that was my husband, my future husband,” she said, even though “he was quite old.”
“I was so young I didn’t understand that he was much older than me because I was looking at all these photos. No, he’s young prettily like ten years older than me. I didn’t understand math,” she concluded by saying as well.
