Ryan Gosling is teaming up with Warner Bros. to produce The Flintstones with his Open Invite production partner Jessie Henderson also attached.
The live-action project is currently searching for writers, according to Deadline.
Plot details are being kept firmly under wraps, but the movie is reportedly putting Bamm-Bamm Rubble front and center.
That means the stone-age troublemaker could finally get the big-screen spotlight after decades of playing second fiddle to Fred Flintstone and his family.
Bamm-Bamm first got an older version of himself in the 1971 animated series The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show, where he was a teenager attending Bedrock High School, dating Pebbles and navigating his first job.
The original The Flintstones premiered in 1960 and made TV history as the first animated series to land a primetime slot.
The show followed Fred and Wilma Flintstone, their daughter Pebbles, and neighbors Barney, Betty and Bamm-Bamm Rubble.
Hollywood has already taken the prehistoric family into live action.
John Goodman, Rick Moranis and Elizabeth Perkins starred in the 1994 The Flintstones, while The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas arrived in 2000 as a prequel with an entirely new cast.
Gosling is also producing the upcoming romantic drama Love of Your Life, starring Margaret Qualley, Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Basso and Catherine Keener.
The film is scheduled to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month.
With Gosling behind the scenes and Bamm-Bamm taking the lead, Bedrock may be getting its biggest makeover yet.
