Robin Thicke has finally tied the knot with his fiance April Love Geary after almost seven years of engagement.
The wedding ceremony that took place in Mexico on May 30, also featured a special tribute to Robin’s dad, Alan Thicke.
During the wedding ceremony, a chair in the front row was left empty in honour of his late dad, who passed away in 2016.
The chair featured a banner with a special message on it that read, “In loving memory of Alan Thicke, Father of the groom,” as quoted by People Magazine.
“We remember … Although you cannot be here with us today, your love and light remain in our hearts,” it further read.
The message concluded, “We feel your presence in the gentle breeze, the warmth of the sun, and the joy that fills the day. You are forever in our hearts.”
Robin’s father Alan, Canadian actor and songwriter, passed away at the age of 69 after a ruptured aorta.
It is worth mentioning that Robin Thicke and April Love Geary’s wedding comes just days after the singer proposed to his fiance once again at the Cannes.
On Instagram, April shared pictures of dreamy proposal, writing, “Robin surprised me during our trip to Cannes by proposing to me again with a new ring that one of my best friends @nikkiwhatnikkiwho @establishedjewelry made, I’m so obsessed with it, thank you!!!”
“This trip was such a dream. I love you so much @robinthicke Also a huge thank you to @alilasky for clearing out the whole area and making sure there wasn’t a single person getting in the way,” April wrote further.
