    Punjab announces vacations for schools

    All schools in Punjab will remain closed from Friday, May 22, until August 23,

    LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced summer vacations for schools across Punjab due to rising temperatures and heatwave conditions.

    According to the Education Department, the holiday schedule has been issued in view of the increasing intensity of heat across the province.

    The official notification states that all schools in Punjab will remain closed from Friday, May 22, until August 23. Academic activities will resume on Monday, August 24.

    The Education Department further said that the decision was taken to safeguard the health and well-being of students and teachers amid extreme heat and potential heatwave risks.
