PTI rally in Muzaffarabad failed as low turnout reported

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had planned its event in Muzaffarabad as a major show of political strength outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but the gathering failed to attract the expected crowd.

A full political setup was arranged for the arrival of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, including banners, media presence, and more than 1,100 chairs to give the impression of a large rally. However, the turnout remained far below expectations.

Reports suggest that hundreds of chairs remained empty, with over 300 seats unoccupied during the address, highlighting a gap between planning and actual public response.

The event was meant to demonstrate PTI’s growing influence in Azad Kashmir, but instead raised questions about its ground-level organization and mobilization efforts.

Observers noted that the low attendance not only reflected weak participation but also pointed to challenges in reconnecting with voters and supporters beyond its stronghold.

The rally, which aimed to showcase political strength, instead underscored the need for the party to rebuild its public engagement and organizational structure outside its core base.
