Prince Harry turns up for the first time with a new statement and plan after BBC chat

For the first time since he dropped his BBC interview Prince Harry stepped out for a major announcement.

This announcement was for the Knowledge 2025 event where he revealed he is launching a charity in his mother Diana’s name.

The conversation with Tessy Ojo, the chief executive of The Diana Award saw ServiceNow chief executive Bill McDermott “along with over 20 senior business leaders, changemakers and donors at a private roundtable prior to taking the stage.”

It is pertinent to mention that this was part of the official press release for the charity.

The event featured the holders of The Legacy Award, Sikander ‘Sonny’ Khan, from Michigan, Christina Williams, from Jamaica, as well as the president of global customer operations of ServiceNow, Paul Fipps.

The on-stage conversation covered everything from youth leadership to proactive ways to ensure pathways for young employees.

They also “highlighted what can be done to improve outcomes and emphasised the resilience and agency of young people.”

The release also said that by saying that event with The Knowledge “underscores his continued commitment to redefining how we invest in the future.”

Prince Harry’s statement at the event saw him saying, “Through The Diana Award, I’ve had the privilege of meeting young people who have turned adversity into action.”

“That’s not just inspiring – it’s the kind of untapped potential we can’t afford to overlook. Far too many young people are locked out of leadership pipelines because we’ve failed to build truly inclusive and accessible pathways.”

“This generation isn’t waiting for permission to lead – they are already doing it. They bring emotional intelligence, social awareness, and an honesty about mental health that previous generations struggled to express.”

“What sets them apart isn’t just their boldness, but their refusal to settle for the status quo… If we’re serious about a better future, we need to stop underestimating them and start listening.”
