    PMD predicts rising temperatures and heatwave conditions in Karachi

    Karachi: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi is likely to experience hot and humid weather today, with a further rise in temperatures expected during the day.

    The department reported a minimum temperature of 30°C, while the current temperature in the city stands at 32°C. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 34°C and 37°C.

    Humidity levels have been recorded at 69%, making the heat feel more intense for residents. At present, southwesterly winds are blowing across the city at a speed of around 20 km/h.

    The PMD stated that the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day however, no rainfall is forecast.

    Furthermore, the department warned that heatwave conditions are likely to develop in the city from tomorrow, with temperatures expected to rise further in the coming days. Citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun.
