    Peshawar Zalmi beat Quetta Gladiators by eight wickets

    KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi secured a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing PSL 11, registering their sixth win of the tournament.

    After winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi opted to field first, inviting Quetta Gladiators to bat. Quetta were bowled out for 154 runs in 20 overs, with Hasan Nawaz top-scoring with 37 and Rilee Rossouw contributing 26. Khawaja Nafay added 20, while skipper Saud Shakeel made 16.

    For Zalmi, Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Basit picked up three wickets each.

    In reply, Peshawar Zalmi chased down the 155-run target with ease, reaching the total with nine balls to spare, thanks to a superb unbeaten 71 from Babar Azam. Mohammad Haris scored 35, Kusal Mendis made 21, and Aaron Hardie added 18.

    With this win, Peshawar Zalmi remain unbeaten in the tournament, winning six out of seven matches and collecting 13 points, with one match abandoned due to rain. They continue to lead the points table.

    Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators sit in fifth place with two wins in the competition.
