The Pentagon has confirmed that nearly 100 U.S. service members have been injured since July 7 as fighting between the United States and Iran continues to escalate across the Middle East.
The announcement comes amid growing scrutiny over the military’s handling of casualty disclosures as both countries continue to exchange increasingly deadly attacks.

In a statement shared on X and reported by CBS News, Parnell said 96% of the injured personnel have already returned to active duty, adding that most suffered minor concussions.
Parnell also rejected claims that the Pentagon had concealed casualty figures, saying the injured service members are determined to return to duty.
