ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has warmly welcomed Sikh pilgrims arriving from India and around the world to participate in the Vaisakhi Mela, reaffirming its commitment to religious respect, interfaith harmony, and hospitality.

The arrival of pilgrims for Vaisakhi is being observed not only as a religious occasion but also as a reflection of Pakistan’s dedication to preserving faith-based heritage and promoting human connection across borders.

Authorities have ensured full facilitation, including security, support services, and access to sacred sites.

Pakistan is home to some of the most significant places of worship in Sikhism, including Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur.

These historic religious sites continue to be preserved and opened for the global Sikh community.

Officials stated that Pakistan takes pride in safeguarding shared sacred heritage and ensuring easy access for pilgrims from across the world, reflecting the country’s commitment to inclusivity, peace, and interfaith respect
