Pakistan will take on the United States in Match No. 12 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be played this evening at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The match is set to begin at 6:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time.

Both teams are coming into the contest after contrasting starts to their campaigns. Pakistan registered a narrow three-wicket victory over the Netherlands in their opening match, while the USA suffered a 29-run defeat against India.

Ahead of the crucial encounter, the Pakistan national team held an intensive practice session in Colombo on Wednesday, focusing on addressing weaknesses observed in their first outing.

Adding intrigue to the match is the presence of a Pakistani-born cricketer in the American squad. The ICC Technical Committee has approved the inclusion of Ehsan Adil in the USA team after Jasdeep Singh was ruled unfit.

Ehsan Adil, who hails from Lahore, previously represented Pakistan at the international level. He was part of Pakistan’s squad in the 2015 World Cup and has played three Test matches and six One Day Internationals for the national side.

Meanwhile, two other matches are also scheduled for today in the tournament. The Netherlands will face Namibia, while New Zealand will go head-to-head with the United Arab Emirates.

All eyes will be on Colombo tonight as Pakistan looks to build momentum, while the USA aims to bounce back and make a statement on the world stage.
