Pakistan has formally decided to participate in the inaugural meeting of the Gaza Board of Peace, scheduled for February 19, sources

According to sources, the meeting will be chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump and will focus on efforts to promote peace and stability in Gaza. Pakistan is expected to be represented either by the Prime Minister or the Deputy Prime Minister.

The session will center on the evolving situation in Gaza, with participating countries set to discuss humanitarian, political, and security challenges linked to the ongoing crisis. Future strategies for reconstruction and a possible framework for long-term conflict resolution are also expected to be part of the agenda.

Officials said Pakistan’s participation reflects its continued engagement in international diplomatic initiatives and will provide an opportunity to present the country’s perspective on the Gaza situation while contributing to coordinated global responses.

While details regarding the full agenda and participating delegations have not yet been disclosed, the meeting is being viewed as a significant platform for consultations on regional stability and peacebuilding efforts.

Earlier, on February 7, 2026, Axios reported that the White House was planning the first leaders’ meeting of President Trump’s proposed “Board of Peace” related to Gaza. The report noted that the meeting would also serve as a fundraising conference for Gaza’s reconstruction, though plans were still in the early stages and subject to change.

According to Axios, the meeting is expected to be held at the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet President Trump at the White House on February 18, one day prior to the Board of Peace meeting.

At the time of the report, the White House and the U.S. State Department did not respond to requests for comment. Further announcements regarding Pakistan’s representation and the outcomes of the meeting are expected closer to the date.
