LAHORE: Pakistan’s young wordsmiths have once again made the country proud on the global stage, turning their talent and strategy into a historic achievement at the 21st World Youth Scrabble Championship.
The Pakistani team clinched the world team title for the seventh time, while several players secured individual championships, strengthening Pakistan’s reputation as a powerhouse in international youth Scrabble.
The Pakistani contingent delivered a dominant performance at the championship, winning the highest number of trophies and showcasing the country’s growing strength in youth Scrabble.
Ahmad Salman claimed the Under-16 world championship title, while Ahed Sault Fatimi secured the Under-14 world title. Pakistan’s Taimur Waseem also emerged as the Under-10 world champion, further adding to the country’s success.

In another strong performance, Mustafa Farhan finished as the runner-up in the Under-12 category, while three Pakistani players secured positions among the top 10 competitors in the individual competitions.
Pakistani player Ayan Hassan Khan earned the distinction of playing the highest-scoring word of the championship, while Azam Siddiqui recorded the highest score in a single match.
The impressive performance by Pakistan’s young players brought further recognition to the country on the international stage and highlighted the depth of emerging talent in competitive Scrabble.
The latest achievement further strengthens Pakistan’s reputation as a leading force in youth Scrabble and reflects the skill, preparation and determination of its young players.
