ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has once again positioned itself as a key voice for regional stability, with the Foreign Office on Thursday stating that Islamabad is playing a “constructive and sincere” role in promoting peace, while firmly condemning Israeli actions in Palestine.

Speaking during the weekly media briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said the past two weeks had witnessed significant diplomatic engagement involving Pakistan’s top leadership and senior officials.

He highlighted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to China, noting that both countries signed multiple memorandums of understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation across key sectors.

He said the visit reflected the strong and evolving partnership between Pakistan and China, as well as their shared commitment to expanding strategic and economic ties.

Andrabi further stated that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also visited the United States following his China trip, where he held meetings with senior US leadership.

He said discussions focused on regional peace, stability, and wider international issues of mutual concern. According to him, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and supporting peacebuilding efforts.

The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to diplomatic engagement and peaceful resolution of disputes, stressing that Islamabad continues to support initiatives that promote regional stability and cooperation.

He also strongly reaffirmed Pakistan’s condemnation of Israeli actions in Palestine, reiterating its consistent stance in support of the Palestinian people and the protection of civilian lives.
