Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a test of the “Taimur” Air-Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM). Taimur ALCM is an indigenously developed anti-ship ballistic missile, according to Inter Service Public Service Relations (ISPR).

According to the military’s media affairs wing, fired from the air towards the sea, accurately hit its target with high precision. This successful test demonstrated the Pakistan Navy’s operational preparedness and its capability to engage targets at long range with precision.

The successful firing of the cruise missile “Taimur” marks a significant addition to the country’s defense capability. The successful test of the air-to-surface missile has further strengthened the armed forces’ multi-dimensional integrated defense capabilities, said ISPR

The statement further added that the Pakistan Navy remains committed to safeguarding national maritime interests and defending its maritime boundaries.

The President, Prime Minister, Chief of Defense Forces, and Services Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on achieving this important milestone.
