Karachi:  Internet users across Pakistan are currently facing frustrating slowdowns and service disruptions. Several major Internet Service Providers (ISPs), including Nayatel and PTCL, have confirmed widespread connectivity problems nationwide.

According to a notice from Nayatel’s Technical Assistance Center, these disruptions are due to a mix of issues, impacting both international internet traffic and access to key online services:

    • Slower International Connections: Internet speeds and stability for global websites are reduced because of a problem with one of Nayatel’s main international internet providers.

    • Microsoft Services Down: Popular apps like Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive are experiencing outages across the country.

    • Cloudflare Service Issues: Many websites and applications that use Cloudflare’s technology are either loading very slowly or are completely unreachable.

Nayatel has clarified that while these are separate issues, they are happening at the same time, making the overall problem worse for users. Other ISPs have also reported similar problems, showing that these disruptions are affecting more than just one company.

Technical teams from all affected ISPs and service providers are working hard to find and fix these issues. However, there is no official timeline yet for when internet services will return to normal.
