Sindh is currently producing about 2,000 barrels of oil per day.

The Oil & Gas Development Company Limited has started production from Bobi Deep-1 in District Sanghar, Sindh, on a fast-track basis, with the well currently producing 2,000 barrels of oil per day, the company said in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

According to the company, the well located in the Bobi and Dhamraki mining lease area in District Sanghar. Sindh is currently producing about 2,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD).

OGDCL said the discovery comes from the Massive Sand of the Lower Goru Formation and follows its earlier disclosure dated June 3, 2026. The company also completed laying a 4-inch, 1.5-kilometer flowline from the well site to the Bobi plant, enabling early production.

As the operator with a 100% working interest in the block, OGDCL said the project will help improve domestic energy supplies and reduce reliance on imported oil.

The company added that the development was carried out in compliance with relevant securities and stock exchange regulations.
