Muslims around the world celebrated Eid ul Adha on Friday, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice”. The three-day festival is marked by special prayers, festive meals, and the ritual sacrifice of animals.

The meat is then distributed equally among family, friends, neighbours, and the poor.

Let’s take a look at some glimpses of how Muslims around the world observed Eid ul Adha.

Eid ul Adha commemorates the unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim, who was commanded by Allah to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as a test of obedience. When he was prepared to follow through, Allah accepted his devotion and replaced Ismail with a lamb.
