Tennis fans are in for a high-octane clash today as Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti takes on Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in the 2026 Australian Open quarter-finals.

Both players bring skill, speed, and strategy to the court in a battle that promises sparks, drama, and fierce competition for a spot in the semi-finals.

Musetti, the young Olympic bronze medallist, is riding a wave of momentum and aims to break into the ATP top three with a landmark victory.

while Djokovic, the seasoned champion, brings unmatched experience, power, and a six-match winning streak against his Italian rival. With Melbourne’s hard courts ready to witness an epic duel, today’s match is shaping up to be one of the tournament’s most electrifying encounters.

In a rematch of their Paris 2024 semi-final, the No. 5 and No. 4 seeds respectively meet for a place in the final four of the first Grand Slam of the season. This is already Musetti’s best result at Melbourne Park, and a win today would mark his third major semi-final in three years.

Djokovic, chasing his record-extending 25th Grand Slam title, enters the match fresh after receiving a walkover when his previous opponent, Jakub Menšík, withdrew due to injury.

The reigning Olympic champion is targeting his 13th appearance in the Australian Open semi-finals, maintaining his reputation as one of the sport’s elite competitors.

The duo have faced off 10 times previously, with Djokovic dominating the rivalry 9-1. The Serbian star has won all four of their encounters on hard courts, while Musetti’s sole victory came at the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters.

Their last meeting took place at the tail end of the 2025 season in the Athens ATP 250 final, where Djokovic secured his 101st career title. During the 2024 Olympic Games, Djokovic defeated Musetti 6-4, 6-2 en route to claiming gold at Stade Roland-Garros.

The quarter-final match between Musetti and Djokovic will be played today during the day session, not before 14:30 local time (AEDT, GMT+11) in Melbourne. Broadcasters for the 2026 Australian Open include:

    • Australia: 9Now, StanSport

    • Great Britain: TNT Sports, Eurosport/discovery+
    • Canada: TSN, RDS
    • India: Sony Sports Network
    • Europe: Eurosport/discovery+
    • Africa: beIN Sports, SuperSport

With a combination of youthful energy and seasoned mastery on the court, today’s quarter-final promises a spectacle that tennis enthusiasts worldwide will be eagerly watching.
