Meghan Markle the Duchess of Sussex marked the seventh birthday of Prince Archie of Sussex on May 6 by sharing a series of rare and previously unseen family photographs on Instagram offering an intimate glimpse into the private life of the Sussex household in Montecito.
Prince Archie born in 2019 is the eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex followed by his younger sister Princess Lilibet of Sussex born in 2021.
In her post the Duchess of Sussex wrote: “7 years later… happy birthday to our sweet boy,” alongside two tender family images. One photograph captures Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, relaxing on a sofa with newborn Archie resting on him, while another shows Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet during a seaside walk in Montecito.
The images also drew attention to the children’s distinctive red hair, widely associated with the paternal lineage of the Duke of Sussex.
Since relinquishing their roles as senior working royals in 2020 the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been residing in the United States focusing on raising their children away from the formal royal spotlight while occasionally offering curated glimpses into their family life.
On the same day His Majesty King Charles III hosted the first Buckingham Palace Garden Party of the year continuing a long-standing royal tradition of honouring public service and civic contribution across the United Kingdom.
