Meghan Markle lost out on a major opportunity she the Duchess of Sussex was dropped from the cover of British Vogue’s September 2022 issue.
It happened after tensions between her team and the magazine’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour due to the Duchess’ teams’ demands.
According to a report, Wintour became frustrated with Meghan’s team over what sources described as “micromanaging” and specific demands about the cover and straplines.
The planned article, which was supposed to focus on Meghan’s charity work and connect with her speech at the One Young World Summit, was eventually cancelled.
As per Daily Mail, sources said Meghan was being “difficult about making it a cover” and her team were “insisting on particular straplines.”
“Anna heard about it, and just like banned her and said, ‘That’s it. We don’t want to do this’,” the insider said.
“And so she didn’t get the cover, and I guess she didn’t even get the story,” they added.
