McDonald’s brings successful Big Arch Burger to U.S. menus

McDonald’s is introducing its internationally successful Big Arch Burger to U.S. customers on March 3, for a limited time.

The burger, described as “our most McDonald’s, McDonald’s burger yet,” features two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of white cheddar, slivered onions, lettuce, pickles, Big Arch Sauce, and toasted sesame-and-poppy seed buns.

First tested 18 months ago, the Big Arch has “shown strong traction across several markets,” according to Jill McDonald, McDonald’s global chief restaurant experience officer. Launched in France in April 2025, it quickly became the country’s top-selling burger and later debuted in the U.K., where it became a permanent menu item.

“Customers are responding to this more satisfying burger that still feels distinctly McDonald’s,” Jill McDonald said during the brand’s Q4 earnings call.

This marks the U.S.’s second major beef launch in under a year, following last summer’s Daily Double Burger, which is now part of the Meal Deal special.

McDonald’s continues to focus on beef, chicken, and beverages. In 2025, the chain expanded its chicken lineup with new strips and the return of the Snack Wrap, while testing energy drinks, iced coffees, fruity refreshers, and crafted sodas in over 500 U.S. locations. A nationwide McCafé beverage rollout is planned for later this year.

    U.S. same-store sales rose 6.8% in Q4 2025, marking the brand’s strongest quarterly growth since Q3 2023, with full-year comparable sales up 2.1%.
