US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that some progress has been made in mediation with Iran, adding that an important development could emerge within the next few days.

According to Marco Rubio, there is a possibility that Iran may accept an agreement by Saturday. He said a major announcement could be made either today or in the coming days, expressing hope that positive news regarding Iran will soon come forward.

Rubio also said there is a chance that ongoing tensions and conflict in the Middle East could move toward an end by the end of the week. He also expressed hope that the dispute involving Iran would ultimately be resolved through diplomacy.

He noted that Donald Trump has also made it clear that the issue with Iran must be resolved one way or another.

US Secretary of State once again repeated Washington’s position that Iran must never obtain nuclear weapons. He also urged Iran to keep the Strait of Hormuz open without any taxes or restrictions.
