LOS ANGELES: Lana Del Rey has expanded her highly anticipated musical comeback by revealing that she has been secretly working on two albums at the same time, with a companion project titled “Spyda” set to accompany her upcoming record “Stove.”

The singer-songwriter shared the unexpected update with fans, announcing that she is in the final stages of completing “Spyda” and plans to send both albums for vinyl production within the next month.

Del Rey explained that “Spyda” developed naturally while she was working on “Stove,” which has previously been teased under different titles, including “Lasso” and “The Right Person Will Stay.”

While “Stove” represents the original vision of the album, Del Rey described “Spyda” as a companion record inspired by the personal and creative changes she experienced over the past several years.

The artist said the project reflects themes of transformation, patience, uncertainty and new beginnings, capturing the emotional journey behind the changes in her life and music.

Del Rey noted that “Stove” remains a complete and carefully planned album, while “Spyda” emerged as a separate collection of songs shaped by unexpected moments and evolving perspectives.

The announcement immediately sparked excitement among fans, who flooded social media with reactions to the news of two upcoming projects.

Many fans celebrated the surprise release, while others joked about Del Rey’s history of teasing new music before official announcements.

One fan wrote on X, “Just one more month has become Lana’s favorite genre,” while another commented that listeners would believe the release only once the albums officially arrive.

Despite the lack of confirmed release dates, anticipation for Del Rey’s upcoming music continues to grow.

“Stove” and “Spyda” will mark Lana Del Rey’s first full-length projects since her 2023 album “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” which received widespread critical attention.

Earlier this year, Del Rey gave fans a preview of “Stove” with the release of “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter.” She also released “First Light,” a song written for the James Bond video game “007 First Light.”

Although official release dates for both albums remain undisclosed, Del Rey has shared glimpses of the projects’ artwork and confirmed that both records are moving closer to completion.

With “Stove” and “Spyda,” Lana Del Rey appears ready to enter a new chapter of her career, blending her signature storytelling style with themes of personal growth, change and reinvention.
