KARACHI: On the directives of Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, the focal person for the Hydrants Cell visited several Imambargahs across Central, West and Keamari districts to review water supply and other arrangements ahead of Ashura during Muharram.

The inspection focused on ensuring an uninterrupted water supply for mourners, while also assessing the availability of essential facilities at Imambargahs. Officials reviewed preparations to meet the anticipated needs of participants during Muharram processions and gatherings.

The visits were attended by the Chairman of Manghopir Town, along with staff from the Sakhi Hassan and Crush Plant hydrants.

Coordinators from Jafaria Alliance Pakistan also briefed the delegation on arrangements at various Imambargahs and highlighted additional requirements.

Speaking during the visit, the Hydrants Cell focal person said the KW&SC had put in place special measures to ensure a continuous supply of water and other essential services for mourners throughout Muharram.

He added that Water Corporation teams have been placed on high alert to maintain water supply at Imambargahs, venues of religious gatherings and along procession routes across the city.
