Acting CEO Abdulwahab Al-Shatti said Colombo service is being reinstated because of its importance to passengers.

Kuwait Airways has announced it will restart commercial flights to and from Colombo starting 15 April 2026, with the route operating through Dammam.

Acting CEO Abdulwahab Al-Shatti said the Colombo service is being reinstated because of its importance to passengers.

He added that the airline has recently upgraded resources and operational systems to meet travel demand and improve connectivity across key destinations.

Al-Shatti also mentioned that resuming flights to Colombo is part of a larger network expansion through Dammam, which already includes cities like London, Cairo, Istanbul, Lahore, Amman, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Manila.

He noted that Kuwait Airways now operates 11 destinations via Dammam. Additionally, the airline has introduced a visa application service for Saudi Arabian residents with confirmed bookings.
