ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court has declared Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and five members of the provincial assembly as proclaimed offenders, according to a court-issued public notice.

The judicial advertisement names MNA Mina Khan, Amjad Ali, Shafiullah Jan, and Iqbal Afridi among those declared absconders.

Sources said the five accused have been declared proclaimed offenders in two cases registered by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Islamabad.

The court has directed the accused to appear before it within 30 days through the publication of the notices.

The advertisement clearly states that failure to comply within the stipulated period will result in further legal action against the accused.

It is pertinent to note that the Anti-Terrorism Court had ordered the issuance of public notices against the accused on December 4.

Following the court’s directives, Islamabad Police published the advertisements to ensure compliance with the judicial order.
