Kate Middleton is going against Princess Anne as she introduces major changes in the Royal family, a new report has revealed.
According to In Touch Weekly, the Princess of Wales is set to become the new face of the Royal family as she takes charge amid King Charles’ health battle.
They revealed that Kate has plans for the Royals to tone down royal extravagance and be “humbler” and relatable with the common man.
“Her trip to the hospital was the perfect example of how she’s breaking the rules,” the insider said, referring to Kate’s recent visit to Royal Marsden Hospital, where she underwent treatment for cancer.
The Princess of Wales spent time with patients and spoke of her own health battles while revisiting her time at the facility.
“It’s amazing how open she has been about her feelings and reminding them that she’s a mom, first and foremost,” added the Royal insider.
“It’s reminiscent of how Princess Diana used to interact with people, making real, emotional connections.”
While Prince William “is completely on the same page,” with Kate, Princess Anne is skeptical of the changes being made within the Royal family.
She once expressed her doubts in an interview with Vanity Fair, saying, “Nowadays, they’re much more looking for, ‘Oh, let’s do it a new way.’”
“I’m at the stage [of], ‘Please do not reinvent that particular wheel. We’ve been there, done that. Some of these things don’t work. You may need to go back to basics.’”
However, the insider noted that in “Kate’s view, they’d all be wise to work on being more relatable,” adding, “If there’s anyone they’ll all listen to, it’s Kate.”
