Jennifer Lawrence had many street-style paparazzi pictures going viral over the internet a while back, which showed her with a scarf tied around her face.
The 36-year-old actress recently sat down for a new interview and shared the backstory to the unprompted “trendsetter” moment.
“I’ve been wearing a scarf over my melasma spots since I started Tret, which of course I get photographed and people think I’m making some sort of fashion statement. I’m literally just haggard and scaling and trying to survive,” the Die, My Love star told Vogue.
The interview brought back her pictures from the time, and fans reacted, writing, “bring it back.”
Another added, “iconic regardless,” while a third chimed in, “i love jlaw.”
Lawrence is about to grace the big screens soon as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, scheduled to release on November 20, 2026.
