Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had attacked Amazon’s data infrastructure in Bahrain, according to a statement reported by Fars News Agency, which is affiliated with the IRGC.
According to a translated Telegram post published by Fars on Tuesday, the IRGC said it targeted Amazon’s central data infrastructure in Bahrain with several cruise missiles and claimed it had destroyed the facility.
CNBC said it could not independently verify the claim. The news organization said it had contacted Bahrain’s National Communication Center and Amazon for comment.

Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated over the past 10 days after President Donald Trump declared the ceasefire with Iran was over. Since then, both sides have carried out military strikes.
Technology companies have also been affected by the conflict.
In March, several apps and digital services in the UAE experienced outages after drone strikes targeted Amazon Web Services data centers in the country, while a facility in Bahrain was also damaged. In April, the IRGC warned it could target several U.S. technology companies operating in the Middle East, including Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft and Google.
Since the fighting resumed, U.S. Central Command has carried out 10 consecutive nights of strikes on Iran, saying the operations are intended to reduce Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
