Internet disruption leads to public hardships

3G and 4G services were suspended in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, on Thursday due to security concerns.

The internet outage has caused significant inconvenience to users across the city, disrupting daily activities and communications.

X Faces Global Outage, Including Pakistan

A few days ago, users worldwide encountered difficulties accessing the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). According to outage-tracking website Downdetector.com, the platform experienced widespread disruptions.

Meanwhile, X owner Elon Musk claimed that the service was under a “massive cyberattack.”

Despite being officially banned in Pakistan, Downdetector recorded 74 outage reports from Pakistani users at 3:08 pm, which rose to 136 by 11:06 pm before dropping to 45 an hour later. Most complaints were reported from Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi.
