During winter, symptoms like cold, cough, body aches, and nasal congestion often lead people to use Vicks for quick relief.

While various types of Vicks are available in the market for both adults and children, many prefer chemical-free homemade alternatives. The good news is that Vicks can be easily prepared at home using a few natural ingredients.

You don’t need any complicated equipment to make Vicks at home. Take a small bowl of pure ghee or coconut oil and add five to six camphor tablets. Additionally, half a teaspoon of turmeric and half a teaspoon of sea salt enhances its effectiveness.

To prepare, warm the ghee or coconut oil on low heat in a pan. Add the camphor tablets and cook until they completely melt. Then, mix in turmeric and sea salt thoroughly. Once all the ingredients are well combined, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool. Store it in a clean glass container.

This chemical-free homemade Vicks is considered safe, especially for children, and can provide natural relief from winter cold and congestion.
