Gold prices recorded a sharp increase in the local market on Wednesday, 17 December 2025.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 2,700, taking the new rate to Rs 400,53,562 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 2,315, reaching Rs 300,88,856.
The worldwide price of gold dropped by $27 to $4,312per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver’s price stayed at its new all-time high of Rs6,532 per tola.
According to market observers, the local gold market will probably continue to be erratic over the next several days, with buyers and traders keeping a close eye on any new developments as prices closely follow global trends and investor reactions.
