    Ex-ISI chief Faiz Hameed sentenced to 14 years rigorous imprisonment

    According to the ISPR, Field General Court Martial conducted proceedings under the Pakistan Army Act against Faiz Hameed.

    RAWALPINDI: Former DG ISI, Lieutenant General (Retd) Faiz Hameed, has been sentenced to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment.

    According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field General Court Martial conducted proceedings under the Pakistan Army Act against Faiz Hameed. The court-martial process lasted 15 months.

    The former general faced action on four charges, including: involvement in political activities, violation of the Official Secrets Act, misuse of authority and government resources and causing unlawful harm to relevant individuals.

    The sentence reflects the court’s decision after extensive proceedings under military law.
