Dubai: In a bold leap into the future of gastronomy, Dubai has unveiled Woohoo, a trailblazing restaurant featuring the world’s first AI chef, “Aiman”.

This cutting-edge artificial intelligence program curates menus, balances complex flavors, and draws on thousands of recipes combined with decades of culinary research and molecular gastronomy.

While the AI masterminds the menu, human chef Serhat Karanfil ensures flawless execution, adjusting flavors and presentation when needed.

Among Woohoo’s standout creations is the futuristic “Dinosaur Tartare”, developed using DNA mapping and served on a pulsating plate to simulate breathing, priced at approximately €50 ($58).

The neon-lit venue dazzles with holograms, sci-fi animations, and a giant cylindrical computer representing the AI’s central core. Co-founder Ahmet Oytun Cakir envisions Aiman as the “Gordon Ramsay AI version,” heralding a new era in culinary innovation.

Not everyone shares the enthusiasm. Michelin-starred chef Mohamad Orfali contends that cooking requires “nafas” (soul) a uniquely human touch that AI cannot replicate. For him, AI remains a tool for administrative tasks, not gastronomy.

Despite skepticism, Woohoo has captivated Dubai diners and sparked a social media frenzy, with a dedicated Instagram account for AI chef Aiman sharing recipes, tips, and futuristic culinary visions.

Customers praise the restaurant for its innovative concept, immersive experience, and extraordinary flavors, marking a bold statement in Dubai’s already extravagant and tech-forward dining scene.
