Chris Hansen has some doubts about Robert Pattinson playing him in the upcoming film Primetime.
The former To Catch a Predator host didn’t see the full movie yet but the trailer already made him question how his story has been told.
Hansen talked about the film during an interview with podcaster Annie Elise, saying that he was not asked to be part of the casting or filming process.
He added that the filmmakers only contacted him after the movie was already made.
Chris shared they wanted to give him “some sort of consideration,” but he was never really involved in deciding how he would be shown.
That seems to have bothered him really as Hansen also wondered why Hollywood wanted to make the film and if his name was being used because people already know him.
He, however, also got a different actor in mind for the role, admitting that he would have chosen Denis Leary to play him.
Still, Hansen is waiting before making a final judgement as he continued saying that he plans to watch Primetime next week.
The movie, moreover, stars Pattinson as fictional version of Hansen and take inspiration from his famous television work.
Hansen got famous for To Catch a Predator, where he confronted men accused of trying to meet minors.
