Celeste Rivas family hits back at D4VDs shocking money claim

D4VD is facing more questions in the case involving the death of 14 year old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

The singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, recently told a Los Angeles court that he could not afford his private lawyers.

His lawyers then left the case and a public defender was given the job of representing him.

Celeste’s family is now questioning that claim.

Their lawyer, Patrick Steinfeld, said the family was “shocked” that D4VD said he was struggling to pay for his defence.

The lawyer pointed to D4VD’s huge music success. He said the singer has more than 5 billion streams and around 16 million monthly listeners on one streaming service.

He also brought up businesses connected to D4VD and money that was reportedly moved to his mother and manager.

D4VD’s former lawyers said they still support him, even though they are no longer working on the case.

Celeste’s family says they want one thing above everything else: justice for the teenager.

D4VD has denied the charges connected to Celeste’s death.

He is due back in court on October 19 with his new public defender as the case continues.
